FAQ

All your questions, answered

Will we be back before all-aboard?

Yes. Tell us your all-aboard time when you book. We plan the day around it and bring you back to the Seafront cruise terminal in time.

Where do we meet?

At the Seafront cruise terminal in Port Vila, where cruise passengers come ashore. We confirm the exact meeting time with you on WhatsApp.

Can I book on the day?

Yes, if there is space. Ask for Blue Express at the Seafront cruise terminal or message us on WhatsApp. Booking ahead is the best way to be sure of a seat.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your pickup time. Just message us on WhatsApp or email with your booking reference.

What times do you pick up?

We pick up anywhere between 6am and 8pm. If you need an earlier or later run, ask us for a special after-hours booking.

Do I pay online?

No. No payment is taken on this website. Send a request, we confirm the details with you, and you pay on the day. Ask us which payment options suit you when we confirm.

How do I know my booking is confirmed?

You get a reference number as soon as you send your request. A Blue Express team member then confirms availability, pickup time and price with you on WhatsApp or email. Your booking is final once we have confirmed it.

Do I need cash?

Bring some vatu. Cards are accepted at many businesses in Port Vila, but markets and some attractions only take cash, and many attractions charge an entrance fee.

Is the tour suitable for wheelchair users or limited mobility?

A ramp-equipped vehicle is available. Tell us your needs when you book so we can confirm the right vehicle and check that the planned stops suit you.

What if the weather is bad?

Efate weather can change quickly. If conditions look unsafe for a stop, we’ll message you to talk through options, such as changing the order of stops or moving to another day.

When are the markets open?

Port Vila’s markets open Monday to Friday, roughly 6:30am to 5pm. On Saturday the main market is closed but some smaller markets open, and there are no markets on Sunday. See our local food and markets guide.

What do the Day Tours cost?

AUD $130 (VT 9,880) per adult and AUD $90 (VT 6,840) per child aged 5–11. Entry fees, lunch, snacks and drinks are included.

Which day tour should I choose?

Tour #1 is water and the Blue Lagoon, Tour #2 is waterfall, coffee and beach, Tour #3 is ocean and coffee, and Tour #4 is beaches, lagoon and waterfall. Try the tour finder on the Tours page if you can’t decide.

What does the Round Island Tour cost?

AUD $350 (VT 26,600) per trip for your group. Guests pay their own entrance fees and lunch.

Where does the tour go?

Around Efate on the Ring Road, with stops such as the Blue Lagoon, Eton Beach, Takara hot springs and Havannah. We confirm the plan with you when we confirm your booking.

Can children come?

Yes. The price is per trip, so it suits families. Tell us the children’s ages when you book.

How much is an airport transfer?

From VT 2,000 per person to Port Vila hotels, with children aged 5–11 at half price. Prices for resorts further out are listed on this page.

What do I need to send when booking?

Your flight number, arrival date and time, your hotel and how many people (and bags) are travelling. We confirm the pickup details with you.

Is there a vehicle for wheelchair users?

Yes, a ramp-equipped vehicle is available. Tell us when you book so we can confirm it for your transfer.

My flight arrives late at night. Can you still pick me up?

Our regular pickups run from 6am to 8pm. For an earlier or later flight, ask for a special after-hours booking and we’ll arrange it with you.
